About Cockapoo's

SHORT SUMMARY OF COCKAPOO DOGS

Cockapoo is an offspring of Cocker Spaniel and Poodle. This unique breed is also known as a 'Cock-a-Poo', 'Cockerpoo' and 'Cockapoodle'. Cockapoo has a stable and outgoing Cocker Spaniel's temperament and Poodle's spirit and intelligence.

Cockapoo is a healthy, hypoallergenic dog breed that requires minimal supervision and minimal amount of grooming - quality rarely found in Poodles. These cuteness bombs get along well with people of any age, such as seniors and children as well as other pets, such as cats and dogs.

When it comes to size, Cockapoos are small enough to cuddle and play around with children yet large enough to play with larger dogs. In addition, their temperament is simply amazing - these unique dogs are always happy and with a bright smile on their furry face, which will melt anyone's heart.
As a result of being a mixed breed, Cockapoos are currently not recognized by the Fédération Cynologique Internationale,
American Kennel Club, United Kennel Club and other kennels and clubs around the world. This is why they come without any pedigree papers.

Cockapoos are offspring of Poodle and Cocker Spaniel. So, they are a hybrid dog breed.

ALLERGY-FRIENDLY

According to Asthma and Allergy Foundation of America roughly 3 in 10 people are allergic to dogs and cats. Such people experience various unpleasant allergic reactions, such as constant itching, hives and sneezing. If you have any family members who are allergic to cats or dogs, yet love them - Cockapoo is a great selection of choice!

Cockapoos have a unique high-quality fur, which produces no to minimal amount of dander that often causes various allergic reactions. Although there is no dog breed that is 100% allergy-friendly, Cockapoos are one of those unique breeds that cause minimal allergy.

FRIENDLY AND PLAYFUL

Cockapoos are friendly and playful dogs who enjoy company of both people and other animals. When it comes to people, Cockapoos are particularly good with children. Due to their soft fur and loyal and playful character, Cockapoos are able to entertain children for hours.

Although Cockapoos do not necessarily require much exercise, they are inherently playful dogs. Their love for life translates into great levels of playfulness - Cockapoos love to run in circles or chase objects with a bright smile on their face. It doesn't matter whether it is a park or a cosy home, Cockapoos will always find how to enjoy their life to its fullest and put a smile on their family member's face.

On the other hand, Cockapoos are equally friendly with other animals - whether it is another dog or a cat, Cockapoos are able to create a unique bond with them and become great friends in no time!

INTELLIGENT

Cockapoos are exceptionally intelligent dogs. In addition to their great temperament and sweet, loving and friendly character, Cockapoos are also easy to train. As a result, they require minimal to no supervision and can be trusted with various tasks.

Also, Cockapoos have advanced memory skills. They are able to memorise various commands and names as well as react to body language, such as pointing and gesturing. Similarly, Cockapoos are able to quickly comprehend and respond to voice commands.

GREAT LIFE EXPECTANCY

Whereas most dogs have a life expectancy of just 10 to 13 years, Cockapoos are able to outlive them and reach age of 15 and above. However, this tends to vary from dog to dog and largely depends on lifestyle as well as habits and diet.
Therefore, it is extremely important to take a proper care of Cockapoo, such as by following a healthy diet and helping them with a physical exercise, at least 15 to 30 minutes a day. This will lead to a long and happy Cockapoo life, which we always advocate for!

Although this specific dog breed doesn't require much physical activity, we still recommend dedicating some time for pet's physical activity in order to boost his/her immune system and improve a general wellbeing!
